Melbourne City Wrestling kicked off 2019 with a massive show with lots of news coming from the event at the Thornbury Theatre, below are the results for MCW Vendetta.

Robbie Eagles defeated Jett Rouka and Tyson Baxter in an Air Force 3 match.

Indi Hartwell defeated Tarlee in a singles match.

Shazza McKenzie defeated Avary in a singles match.

It was also announced that MCW will be partnering with Souther Pro Wrestling (SPW NZ) for the Southern Rumble on July 13 for a combined Australian and New Zealand super show.

The Loose and Wreckless (Adam Brooks/Dowie James) defeated SexRock (Elliot Sexton & Jonah Rock) and The Brat Pack (Mitch Waterman & Nick Bury) to win the tag titles.

Jimmy Havoc def Ritchie Taylor in a No DQ match.

The event also saw a return to Australian wrestling for former NXT star Mickey Nicholls who was announced for MCW Uprising on February 2nd. Nicholls was a member of the tag team TM61/The Mighty in NXT (as Nick Miller) but was regular of MCW prior to his time in Pro Wrestling NOAH & then NXT.

Slex defeated Rat Daddy to retain the IC title.

Gino Gambino defeated Mike Burr to retain the MCW title.

Unfortunately, the closing of last night’s show was marred by an ugly incident which saw an intoxicated, half-naked (from the waist down) fan jumping the barricade and attempting to rush the ring. In the process of attempting to enter the ring, the fan received a swift kick to the head from Gambino which subsequently knocked the invader out sending them home in an ambulance.
